Roblox error 267: an experience ban and contacting its creator

Identify the scope of the restriction and prepare a clear appeal. Understand what the creator and Roblox Support can actually do.

Updated:

Identify the restriction #

First save the complete 267 message, the experience URL and the time it appeared. Official Roblox help associates this code with a restriction issued by the creator of a particular experience. The number does not explain your individual circumstances or prove that you actually broke the stated rule. Look for a reason, duration or contact route added to the message. If the creator supplies custom wording, keep it with the code; that wording may be more useful than a general search for the error number.

Separate three situations: entry denied in one experience, an account-moderation notification from Roblox, and a normal connection problem. A temporary restriction described inside a game and a moderation notice on the account page need different requests. This guide helps identify the recipient and prepare facts; it does not adjudicate your actions or lift a restriction. Before understanding the message, avoid changing random settings, deleting the client or buying an item advertised as a way back in.

Check its scope #

Using the same account, try one other experience available to you and record the outcome. If that opens while the original displays 267, you have a useful observation about the scope. Also check for a separate account-moderation notification. Official help distinguishes a creator's ban from a platform ban: other experiences and features remain available in that scenario. However, failure to open a second experience alone does not establish an account-wide ban; its message or access requirements may be different.

Consider two hypothetical cases. In the first, a player enters experience A, but B shows 267 with a creator's explanation; the next step is reading B's rules and finding its contact. In the second, the account has a separate Roblox notification with an appeal option; the player follows that notice rather than asking A's developer to restore the whole account. These examples are illustrative. You do not need spare accounts or bypass tools for the comparison. Record what is currently available on your ordinary profile.

Read the creator's rules #

Read the original experience description and its officially linked community pages. Look for rules, support information and a procedure for reviewing restrictions. Distinguish Roblox's platform rules from the experience's own rules, because responsibility for reviewing them may differ. Roblox's guidance says that creators who choose custom rules must make them accessible to users. If you find a document, note its name, URL and the section referenced by the message. A random comment is not necessarily the creator's current procedure.

When a duration is stated, use the exact wording. Do not invent a universal rule that 267 disappears after an hour or that every ban lasts three days; the code supplies no common expiry across experiences. If the duration or reason is unclear, say so in the request. For example: “The message gives no end date; is this temporary, and where is the review procedure?” Owning a pass or paid item does not automatically explain access after a restriction. Keep purchase details separate from the request to review the ban.

Find a genuine contact #

Begin at the experience page, follow its creator or community link and check the contacts they publish. Official help points to available messaging, community walls and creator-provided social links; some experiences have their own support service. Use a route actually provided for your experience and available to you. A similar name, avatar or private claim of being an administrator does not establish a connection to the creator. Match the experience link and owner before sending your case.

If no message button or external link appears, do not treat that as a client malfunction or change age and protection settings to obtain contact. Check the other channels published on the official page. If you cannot find a suitable route, record that and play another available experience until a verified contact becomes available. A creator's external support service remains separate from Roblox Support. Do not give passwords, cookies or verification codes to an unban form, even if its design resembles Roblox.

Prepare relevant evidence #

Prepare a small set of facts: username, exact experience URL, date and time with timezone, full 267 wording and your action immediately before it. If the stated reason differs from your understanding, describe that difference specifically. Rather than “you ban everyone for nothing,” explain “the message refers to action X; immediately before disconnecting I was doing Y.” Do not manufacture evidence or state that the system made a mistake when you only suspect one. Mark details you do not know separately.

A screenshot should show the message and relevant context without revealing private information. Remove email addresses, payment details, private conversations and login information from a public version. If the creator requests more material through their support route, identify what is relevant to this case. Avoid sending the entire account screen just in case. You can honestly say that you have no gameplay recording. Missing video is not a reason to invent a story or present someone else's screenshot as your own.

Send one clear request #

Send one concise request through the creator's published process. Here is a hypothetical template: “Hello. My username is [name], and the experience is [URL]. At [date and time] I received 267 saying [message]. Immediately beforehand, [brief description]. Could you review the restriction and explain the rule applied? I have attached the message screenshot.” Replace the brackets with real details and remove the attachment sentence if there is none. The template does not promise an unban; it gives the recipient a specific case to consider.

If the process provides a response period or ticket number, keep it and follow those instructions. Avoid sending the same request simultaneously through direct messages, the wall and every team member. Continue an existing case when adding information rather than starting again with every message. An apology for a known violation and a request to explain a suspected error are different statements; choose wording that matches the facts. Do not admit actions you did not take or accuse the creator of fraud without evidence.

Understand support boundaries #

Roblox Support cannot remove creator-issued bans or contact the creator on your behalf. Repeated requests asking platform support to persuade the creator therefore do not replace finding the appropriate contact. If there is a separate Roblox moderation decision affecting your account, open that notification and follow its stated appeal route. That is a different procedure. Read its availability and conditions in the notification and official guidance rather than applying them to the creator's restriction.

Handle purchase questions separately. Official creator-contact guidance says that creators cannot refund Robux or money for purchases made through the platform; Roblox Support is the destination for those questions. This is not a refund guarantee, and having bought an item does not itself remove a restriction. Report Abuse is not an appeal button for an experience's custom rule either. If specific content or conduct violates platform rules, report that actual issue through the appropriate mechanism rather than making false reports to pressure the creator.

Choose your next step #

After sending the request, keep its date, channel and any ticket number. Await the response according to the published process. If a duration is explicitly stated, check its end against the creator's message. Do not assume a guaranteed outcome. You can choose another available experience while the matter is considered. Reinstallation, a VPN, an alternate account or a ban-removal program is not a verified way to reverse the creator's decision and can distract from the relevant request.

When a reply arrives, compare it with your request: the restriction was reviewed, its duration explained, the request declined, or additional facts requested. After the creator confirms access is allowed, try a normal launch and record the result. If 267 remains, add the new time and wording to the same conversation. If no reply arrives, silence does not establish that the restriction has been removed. A useful outcome of this route is a verified recipient, accurate information and a known next step; the access decision remains with the party responsible for the experience.
